So, what exactly is Baffle?
I've worked everywhere from farm fields to corporate systems, with plenty of blue-collar, technical and customer-facing work in between. Along the way I also spent time in the late-'90s game industry at Origin / Electronic Arts and Acclaim Studios Austin, which probably explains why gaming has never really left the picture.
Eventually I found my way into software development. I started as a junior Java developer and spent more than twenty years building software and working my way into senior engineering roles.
A while back, I was praying for some direction about what I was supposed to do next, and the name Baffle came to me. That was apparently the entire set of instructions. No business plan. No roadmap. No convenient list of what I was supposed to build with it.
What gradually emerged was Baffle Media. It's the company behind the channels, the website, the production systems, the tools, and whatever products or services eventually grow out of all these experiments.
Astro Bench, Baffle AI, Baffle Lab, Baffle Gaming, Baffle Brick, and the rest each give a different rabbit hole a home.
Dexter B is where they all come back together.
I build things. I test things. I learn how they work, usually much more deeply than was strictly necessary, and then I share what happened.
Welcome to the experiment. Let's go build something.
